Each year our school coordinates two major fundraisers to offset expenses. The major push for fundraising this year is to raise the remaining funds needed to begin the building process for our new facility.
Students who raised $100 or more in sponsorship were able to take a whole day off of school for some fun. Students in 1st - 6th competed against classmates in soccer, kickball, beach volleyball, dodge-ball, relay races - and enjoyed some free-play time on the playground. Students in 7th - 12th grades competed for points in flag football, cabbage ball, UFO, beach volleyball, and a preliminary Ninja Warrior Course. Part of the Ninja Warrior Course included an 8'ft wall to climb over, a rope bridge to cross and many other obstacles to cross.
All students received grilled burgers for lunch and received a free snowball from Kona Ice.
The day ended with all students gathered around to watch the final Ninja Warrior Competition. The top competitors from all six high school teams were chosen for this final round. Congratulations to Jackson Marble and Maddie Scharfenstein, both 9th graders, for achieving the fastest times! It was a good day!
